Everything you need to know about using Pinbox, the privacy-first disposable email platform.

Introduction

Pinbox is a privacy-first temporary email service. It lets you generate instant disposable email addresses to receive messages, extract OTPs, and resolve magic links, all without giving away your real email address.

Pinbox is ideal for signing up to new services, verifying accounts, receiving one-time codes, and anything else you'd rather not associate with your personal inbox.

Generate an Email

1

Click "Generate Email Address"

On the Pinbox app screen, tap the primary button to instantly generate a disposable email address at the aiplex.app domain.

2

Copy your address

Once generated, your email address is displayed prominently. Click "Copy" to copy it to your clipboard instantly.

3

Use it anywhere

Paste the address into any signup form. Pinbox will receive emails sent to it in real time.

Using the Inbox

Once an email is active, new messages appear in your inbox instantly as they arrive.

Tap any email in the list to open the full message, including the full message with images and formatting.

OTP Extraction

Pinbox automatically scans incoming emails for verification codes using smart scanning. When detected, the code is displayed in a prominent banner at the top of the screen and can be copied with one tap.

Magic Link Resolution

Some services send a "magic link" instead of a numeric code a URL you click to verify your account. Pinbox detects these links and opens them safely for you, automatically finding any verification codes inside.

This works for applications, live websites,ai services and others that use link-based authentication.

QR Code

Every temporary email address you generate comes with a unique QR code. This makes it easy to share your temporary email with other devices or use it across platforms.

How to use QR codes:

  • Scan with your phone Use any QR scanner app to quickly copy the email address to your mobile device
  • Share with others Let team members use the same temporary email for testing purposes
  • Cross-device workflow Generate an email on desktop, scan the QR code, and use it on your mobile device

The QR code appears automatically when you generate a new email address. Simply click it to view it in full screen for easy scanning.

Email History

Pinbox automatically saves every temporary email address you generate into a local history panel. You can access it anytime by opening the History sidebar on the app screen.

Loading a past email

Each history entry has a Use button (↺ rotate icon). Clicking it instantly restores that address as your active inbox — the app starts polling for new messages to that address again, exactly as if you had just generated it. This is useful when:

  • You closed the tab and came back later but still need to receive mail to the same address
  • You generated several addresses for different services and want to switch between them
  • A verification email was delayed and you need to re-activate the address to receive it

Things to know

  • History is stored locally in your browser — it persists across page refreshes but is tied to your device
  • Each entry shows the address, the date it was generated, and any OTP code that was detected when it was active
  • Switching to a history email does not count against your daily email generation limit

Notes

Every address in your history can have a short personal note attached to it — a label you write yourself to remember what you used that address for.

How to add or edit a note

1

Open History

Click the History panel on the app screen to see all your saved addresses.

2

Click "Note" on any entry

Each history item has a Note button (sticky-note icon). Clicking it reveals a small inline text input below the address.

3

Type your note and save

Write anything up to 200 characters — e.g. "Used for Claude signup" or "Netflix trial — don't delete". Press Enter or click Save. The note appears directly under the address in the history list.

Tips

  • Notes survive page refreshes — they are saved alongside the address in your browser's local storage
  • You can edit a note at any time by clicking Note again on the same entry
  • Notes are only visible to you on your device — they are never sent to our servers
  • Use notes to track which service each address belongs to, so you know which one to restore with the Use button later

Authentication

Getting started with Pinbox requires a verified account. You can sign in using two methods:

Sign in with Google

  • One-click sign in using your existing Google account
  • No password to remember — Google verifies your identity securely
  • Your Google credentials are verified server-side and never stored

Sign in with Referral Code

  • If you have a team referral code, enter it to create an account instantly
  • Referral codes may include an upgraded plan tier depending on who issued them

Once logged in, your session stays active for 30 days — you won't need to sign in again every time you visit. Your session is stored in a secure HttpOnly cookie and is automatically restored when you return to the app. You will only be asked to log in again after the session expires or if you explicitly click Logout.
